VELVET UNDERGROUND - I'M WAITING FOR THE MAN

LOU REED CON SU TEMA EMBLEMÁTICO:

 

Para recordar al músico conocido como “Lou Reed” nacido  en la ciudad de Brooklyn, “New York” un 2 de marzo de 1942 con el nombre de “Lewis Allen Reed” y fallecido en la misma ciudad de  New York a los meses de  una operación de un mal trasplante al hígado que le efectuaron a  los 71 años un 27 de octubre del 2013.

 

Reproduzco las letras de uno de los temas más controvertidos de Reed que apareció en  el  disco debut de “Velvet Underground” que lideraba  y que juega con la ambigüedad en la interpretación de las palabras, pues el título pareciera que hiciera alusión a un encuentro “gay”, pero en realidad al leer las letras del tema se comprueba que se trata de las vicisitudes y angustia de un drogo que se metió a un barrio bravo de negros para esperar  que su Dealer demorón llegase al point para que le venda la droga que aguardaba para dejar su desesperación.
