QUEEN EN KNEBWORTH

 ÚLTIMA ACTUACIÓN CON FREDDIE MERCURY:

 

Un  9 de agosto pero de 1986, el grupo Queen liderado por el irremplazable “Freddie Mercury” como vocalista y pianista (ya en forma ocasiona, pues contrataron a un tecladista para los conciertos) brindan su última actuación con él en el Festival de Knebworth 1986 en UK dando fin a su  gira “Magic European Tour” para la promoción del disco A Kind of Magic y fue  ante cerca de 125,000 fans que desconocían que sería la última vez que verían a los cuatro integrantes originales juntos por última vez.

 

Como anécdota hubo un nacimiento y un asesinato, un fan escocés de Queen llamado Thomas McGuigan, de 21 años fue acuchillado cerca del escenario y al día siguiente cuando Freddie Mercury fue informado de los hechos, comentó:

 

«Si la gente que quiere vernos puede morir, prefiero no volver a un escenario jamás» y así fue.
