Eric Clapton, además de haberse convertido en una leyenda viviente en menos de cinco años se ha caracterizado por ser un luchador y sobreviviente de su época tanto en el plano musical y  sus propios excesos.

 

Quizás una de las más hermosas canciones compuesta íntegramente por  él  se encuentra en  su disco de retorno a lo grande (luego de años de oscuridad)  el ya célebre “461 Ocean Boulevard”  y tanto en letra y música es una maravilla es el tema  “Déjalo crecer” y que bien suena la guitarra  electroacústica llamada “dobro” como instrumento central  que estremece en este tema con Yvonne Elliman en los coros que marca su retorno con fuerza al mundo de la música y que sean muchos años más.
